Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Kampala
Arrive at Entebbe International Airport where you will be warmly welcomed by your guide or company representative. Transfer to your chosen hotel or lodge in Kampala for your overnight stay and dinner at Namirembe Guest House. Your evening is free to explore Kampala’s vibrant nightlife, including clubs and theaters. Consult with your guide for recommendations and secure transportation. Meal Plan: Arranged according to your time of arrival.
Day 2: Kampala to Kibale
After an early breakfast, embark on a 4-hour drive to Kibale Forest via the Mityana-Mubende Highway. Kibale Forest is renowned for its high concentration of primates, including Chimpanzees, Grey Cheeked Mangabeys, Red-Tailed Monkeys, and Red Colobus. Enjoy a lunch stop en-route. In the afternoon, explore Bigodi Wetland for bird watching and additional primate sightings such as Sitatungas. Dinner and overnight accommodation at Kibale Chimp Nest.
Day 3: Kibale to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Start your day with a morning coffee and a briefing from Uganda Wildlife Authority officials. Enter Kibale Forest for an exhilarating chimpanzee trek and a chance to see other primates in their natural habitat. This activity lasts 3-4 hours. Return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the afternoon, drive south to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Enjoy a game drive upon entering the park, spotting animals such as Lions, Elephants, Buffalos, and Uganda Kobs, as well as a variety of bird species. Dinner and overnight at Simba Safari Camp.
Day 4: Exploring Queen Elizabeth National Park
Begin with a dawn game drive to view the Big Five—Elephants, Lions, Giraffes, Rhinos, and Buffalos—as well as Uganda Kobs, Water Bucks, and Bush Bucks. Look out for rarer species like Topi, Leopards, and Giant Forest Hogs. Return to the lodge for breakfast and lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lake Edward and Lake George. This cruise provides excellent views of Buffalo, Crocodiles, Hippos, and a variety of birds. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Queen Elizabeth to Lake Mburo
After breakfast, drive through the scenic savanna grasslands of East Africa, reaching Kyambura Gorge. Carry a torch for exploration. With a packed lunch, proceed to Lake Mburo National Park and enjoy an evening game drive. Dinner and overnight accommodation at Mburo Tents.
Day 6: Exploring Lake Mburo
Begin the day with an early morning bush walk to see Zebra, Impala, Eland, Warthogs, and other savannah species. Bird enthusiasts will enjoy spotting African Fin Foot, Papyrus Bush Shrike, and more. Return to the lodge for refreshment and lunch. In the afternoon, take a boat cruise on Lake Mburo to enjoy bird watching and the scenic beauty of the mid-morning sunshine. Later, experience a horseback game drive. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Lake Mburo to Entebbe
After breakfast, take a tour around the Tented Camps before driving back to Kampala, then Entebbe. Enjoy lunch en-route and visit the Igongo Cultural Centre for souvenir shopping. Stop at the Equator for snacks and photos before heading to the airport for your evening flight departure.
